Inner Child 2 Day Training

Many of the presenting issues that clients bring to the counselling or therapy room can be traced back to belief systems and expectations that were developed and embedded in childhood, particularly during the ages of 0-7 yrs. During this stage of development, the Alpha and Theta brain waves are most predominant. These brain waves are connected to the states of meditation and hypnosis, leaving the child at this time open to suggestion. What is said (or intimated through actions), is true. The messages, negative or positive, form their belief systems about themselves, others and the world and remain with them into adult life. Many of the negative issues experienced by adults that impact on their emotional, psychological, physical and relational functioning and achievement in all areas of life, can be traced back to the forgotten wounded child who is stuck in a state of worthlessness, abandonment and fear. It is vitally important to be aware of the functioning of the wounded Child part within the struggling Adult, embrace it, nurture it and help it to heal.

“Nancy’s passion for helping people affected by trauma and equipping professionals to work within this field by sharing her knowledge, expertise and skills, is both infectious and inspiring. Learning about trauma can be quite heavy, but scientific knowledge and real life emotive examples, were delivered in a way which meant that there was also some light hearted fun along the way. Thanks so much for this in-depth training, and resources that I could take away and use straight away with my clients. ” -K. Rackshaw - Owner Calm Space Counselling
